| A group of Japanese men parading down a street during the Sanja Matsuri (Festival) in Tokyo, Japan. This photograph was taken by Jim Epler at 11:37 AM on 5/19/2007 in Tokyo, JPN near the Asakusa Sensoji Temple. It is cataloged under the terms travel, holiday, people, cities and style & fashion in this photography database. This image was recorded on digital media using a Canon Digital Rebel xTi camera with a Canon 17-40mm f/4 L lens stopped to f 10 and exposed at a speed of 1/200 sec. Photographer Comments: I liked the different colored happi coats worn by each neighborhood. Happi coats worn at Japanese festivals are called matsuri happi coats, and many have a kanji symbol on their back. I rushed into the middle of the procession to take this picture and almost got run over! |
