The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak GOLD 200 color film stock using a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic II camera with a Asahi Pentax 55mm f/1.8 lens. Photographer Comments: The focus on the original photograph is very soft due to camera shake. I should have used a tripod for all of these shots in Muir Woods. The funny thing is, I seem to remember lugging a tripod around with me on this little excursion but deciding against using it because of the foul weather. I probably figured it wasn't worth setting up the camera in the rain for fear it might damage my camera. It was the PCISL (Pre-Canon IS Lens) period. In hindsight, I wished I HAD taken the time to set up my tripod; that is, IF I had it which I'm not really sure of anyway!!

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms redwood trees, stream, brook, forest, river, Muir Woods, moss and mossy, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph! |
