| A photograph of a chauffeur posing next to his limousine near the Mall in Washington, DC. This photograph captured in September, 1999 was taken by Jim Epler during the fall in Washington, DC a street corner near Constitution Avenue. The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white film stock using a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic II camera with a Asahi Pentax 55mm f/2 lens. Photographer Comments: I approached the driver with reservation because he was a bit intimidating. In fact, I didn't really expect him to even answer me let alone agree to pose for a photograph. To my surprise he agreed! I find humor in how stiff he looks including his suit which looks a size or two too small. I have no idea who he was waiting for and didn't stick around to find out! |
