| A view of a toddler juxtaposed against the massive base of a giant Sequoia tree in California. This photograph dated September 07, 2006 was taken by Jim Epler in the summer in Sequoia National Park, CA at the General Sherman Tree. It is cataloged under the terms people, woodland scenes and parks & fountains in this photography database. The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white film stock using a Pentax Honeywell Spotmatic II camera with a Soligor 17mm f/4 lens stopped to f/11 and exposed at a speed of 1/15th of a second. Photographer Comments: The General Sherman Tree in Sequoia National Park is the largest (by volume) tree in the world. The distorted perspective seen in this picture is due to the wide angle of the 17mm Soligor lens. |
