| A view of the press corps trucks in front of the presidential motorcade during Clinton's second inauguration parade in 1997. This photograph dated January 20, 1997 was taken by Jim Epler during the winter in Washington, DC at the corner of 15th and E Streets. It is cataloged under the terms people, cities, art, objects and documentary in this photography database. The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak MAX 200 color film stock using a Nikon OneTouch 100 camera with a lens. Photographer Comments: It was absolutely frigid when I snapped this photo. I like it, not only because of its historical merit and the pomp and circumstance surrounding the gaiety of the scene, but also because you can see the Department of the Treasury and the General Sherman equestrian sculpture in the background. It brings back those very cold winters in Washington; the bare trees, the long overcoats, and the the faintly colored blue skies. |

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms white house press corps, Washington DC, Presidential parade, General Sherman sculpture, inauguration and Treasury, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph! |
